Each stage has a Doctor, a Rescue Unit and an Ambulance together with a communications network. This together with the marshals and timekeepers, under the control of the Stage Commander, are present for the safe and efficient running of the stage.

Before the arrival of the first competing car, course cars carrying senior officials will check the stage for correct set-up, marshalling and general safety. If the Safety Officer and Clerk of the Course feel that the stage cannot be run in a safe manner they will not give the necessary clearance to start the stage.

Please play your part, co-operate with the marshals, encourage others to do likewise and check that you and those around you are safely positioned – help the officials make your area as safe as possible and help preserve the future of the sport of Rallying.

Remember when parking near stages, emergency services may be required by the rally, residents or the members of the public, please park to one side only and ensure that there is room for an emergency vehicle to pass.
